We had Mitch bury two downspouts that had been causing mulch to wash away and our flower bed to continue to expand. He was prompt with communication, made all of the phone calls to have our lines marked before digging, and contacted the village office to find out all of his options to tie in. He stayed working and completed the job in one day. He is very personable.

  • We reached out to Mitch when we found out we had an issue with our sump pump. He met with us the following week and was very thorough with explaining what the issue was and how to fix it. He did a great job with everything, he was efficient and had things finished within 2-3 weeks from start to finish. We are very thankful and appreciate the work he did for us. Would definitely recommend Mitch!

If you want an excavation team that does more than just move dirt, Unrast Excavating is the company to call. We originally brought them in to install drainage around our foundation walls but they ended up providing so much more value than we anticipated. Beyond the initial scope of the drainage work, we were dealing with a few other persistent issues. Instead of just sticking to the script, Mitch took the time to investigate the root causes. Mitch didn't just apply a "band-aid" fix. He stayed on the job, troubleshooting and refining his approach until he was certain the job was done right. His commitment to quality is rare. You can tell he understands the mechanics of water flow and foundation integrity. Its a huge relief to work with a contractor who shows up, communicates clearly and refuses to leave until the customer is 100% satisfied. Unrast Excavating proved to be honest, hardworking and incredibly thorough. If you have foundation or drainage concerns dont hesitate! Mitch is a dedicated professional who wont stop until the job is done right! Five stars!
